Archives Blue Mass is set for Oct. 1

Watertown - Bishop Terry LaValley will celebrate the annual Blue Mass for all in law enforcement in the Diocese of Ogdensburg Oct. 1 at 2:30 pm in St. Patrick’s Church.

Law enforcement includes state troopers, police officers, sheriff employees, correctional officers, border patrol and customs agents, all in federal law enforcement and district attorneys.

Attendees from the various agencies are invited to wear their department uniforms.

The entire North Country community is invited to join in prayer for the safety and well-being of all in the law enforcement community.

The Diocese of Ogdensburg celebrated its first Blue Mass in October 2016 in Malone.

With 15 state and federal prisons, an international borders and police agencies in eight counties of New York State, a large percentage of  of people in the Diocese of Ogdensburg is active in law enforcement.

The Blue Mass presents an opportunity for the entire community to support all those serving in Law Enforcement and their families with prayers and faith.
