Catechumens, those who are unbaptized and preparing to receive the Sacraments of Initiation at the Easter Vigil, traveled from around the diocese to St. Mary’s Cathedral for the Rite of Election on Feb. 18. This rite marks the beginning of the period of final preparation for the sacraments of initiation. Each catechumens name is inscribed in the “Book of the Elect.”
