Archives Funeral Mass celebrated for Valerie E. Cline

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Valerie E. Cline on April 30 at St. Patrick’s Church in Brasher Falls.

Burial followed in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Cline, 70, of Winthrop, passed away on April 22, 2026, at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh.

Born January 11, 1956, in Star Lake, New York, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Agnes (Tupper) Ezro.

She attended Clifton Fine School. graduating in 1974.

On July 6, 1974, Valerie married David M Cline at St. Huberts Church in Star Lake with Rev. James Ruddy presiding.

David predeceased Valerie in 2023.

Valerie was a dedicated wife, mother and sister who enjoyed babysitting children throughout the years. She also enjoyed sewing and crafting.

Valerie was an active member of St. Patrick’s Church in Brasher, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and the Gabriel Project.

Valerie is survived by her children, Kenna Cline of New Oxford, Pennsylvania, Father Martin Cline of Saranac Lake, and Max and April Cline of Norwood; four grandchildren, Conner Cline of Brasher, Zackary, Madisyn and Abigaile Cline of Norwood; her sisters, Rita Terwilliger of Ogdensburg, Roberta (Patrick) Wiggins of Ogdensburg, Karen (Clifford) Steve of Georgia, Elizabeth (Dennis) Stein of North Carolina and Lisa Jenner of Ogdensburg; her brothers, Phillips Ezro of Winthrop, Lawrence Ezro of California and Joseph Gibbs of Winthrop; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Roswell Ezro and Stephen Ezro; and her sister, Beatrice Arquette.

Memorial contributions in Valerie’s name may be made to St. Bernard Catholic School in Saranac Lake or the Gabriel Project in Brasher Falls since she was a strong supporter of children’s charities.
